I was born into a very musical family and raised on a farm first in Portland and then in Salem, Oregon. My father was a young piano protegee and decided to change his course and started his own band and worked the Jazz circuit. My Mother was a Jazz singer from Tennessee and met my father when she auditioned to be the singer in his band. She was nervous-slipped and fell on the stage-he helped her up and it was “happily ever after”. I am the youngest of four siblings. We all played multiple musical instruments and I began studying violin at the age of 7 and added flute at the age of 9.

Beyond my husband and son, my two loves in life are music and horses. I have been riding horses all my life.
